The Human Side of AI Adoption Is Being Underestimated
AI adoption is often discussed as a tooling problem.
Choose the model. Connect the data. Configure the workflow. Train the users.
That is incomplete.
AI changes how people feel about their work.
Some feel faster. Some feel replaced. Some distrust the output. Some over-trust it. Some avoid it because they do not want to look incompetent. Some use it secretly because policy is unclear.
Ignoring this human layer is a mistake.
Successful AI adoption needs more than technical rollout. It needs clear expectations.
What may staff use AI for?
What must they not use it for?
When must output be reviewed?
How will performance be measured?
Will AI reduce headcount or reduce repetitive work?
People behave differently when they believe a tool is a threat.
The technology may be new, but the change-management problem is old.
Trust is part of the system.
